Well, I got to feeling guilty about borrowing my friend's MIG welder so I bought myself one, got a bottle of gas and welded up a trolley to save my back.

Then I thought, what I need is a project. See if you can guess what it is.

It would have been tougher to guess if you'd stopped with your first set of pics...... nice project. Welding is the glaring weak spot in my diy skill set. I really should learn........

Basically it's a staircase for Phals.. They won't be staked, so they will mostly hang down, forming a cascade. The two top layers can hold 5 each and the bottom three, 3 each.

I plan to gradually fill it with pink, white and purple ones, all different, so there is a common thread. It hangs from the roof and doesn't touch the floor, so the snails can't get there as long as I keep the vegetation behind it cut back.

Fantastic! I love non-staked phals - ours grow hanging upside down actually :)
