wierd phal roots
 

Hello
As title suggests, i noticed these roots seem to have a wierd look, they look soggy but are dry and firm. This was my first orchid and iv never noticed that before. ???

Any help would be great!

Those roots look perfectly healthy to me. First orchid? Just be sure not to over water, that kills orchids faster than anything.

Oh good. Thanks my others phals are more green but i just noticed and hoped as it was the first i got nothing was wrong, i just noticed the browny spots and worried!

the brown spots may be staining from being in contact with bark at some point :)

Don't know what it is myself but I've got plenty of Phal roots that look like that and said plants are just fine.
