Kyokushu
This is the yellow tiger Amami type with reddish peach roots. Fragrance of flowers are like lily of the valley with a touch of spring onions. It's amazing how each variety has different tones to their fragrance! No two are really alike.
I got this plant from a famous neo grower in Japan 5 years ago when I visited his nursery, which was about 3 hours away from Tokyo by train. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...4cbd85d517.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...166660ec8d.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06...fd86b43c82.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Beautiful Neo! Too bad we can't smell them via the Internet! Would love to take a sniff :)

Leslie, with such lovely growth of roots, leaves, and flowers is it time to re-mound this plant? How do you determine when a plant is to be re-mounded?

Beautiful!

Thanks all for the kind comments.
Matt, I repot all neos every 2 years. The surface looks weathered but underneath is still good. However if a neo is suffering I repot right away, no matter what time of year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
