Eight-Legged Friends (don't click if you're arachnophobic)
 

Yesterday I found this huge jumping spider on the couch with me. I herded it into a box and took it outside, then got some pictures.

And I also have these from a couple months ago, when I caught my Maxillaria tenuifolia suddenly exploded with cute tiny baby spiders for a couple hours.

Scary little buggers

Can't say that I find the mass invasion of little ones very comfortable, but the 'spider in a box' is very cool looking.

I would not want an invasion of the tiny ones either

How big is 'huge'? Regardless, it looks adorable - I think I have arachnophilia (funny that the spell check flags it as misspelled).

Oooh I saw one off those black jumpers the other day. Its fangs are iridescent! They do jump quite suddenly so I keep a comfortable distance :)

Oh he is kinda cute :) and fuzzy lol

I do like the jumping spiders, tho they often startle me - jumping off a plant I just picked up! And fortunately I've only ever seen one inside once, and boy are they hard to catch!

Without spiders the world would be ruled by insects. So I like them, but not the mites.
