Looks like maybe a little flower spike starting. Love that pink root tip. Good growing.

Thanks Wintergirl, I hope the spike makes it. Whats funny is I love the roots on Neos the most. Yesterday the root tip had 3 colors, starting from the tip, red, orange, and yellow/greenish color.

One of my favorites as well. very clean.

Do you have any pictures of it in flower?
I'm looking into buying one from new world orchids. |
Very nice, I just love everything that is tiny!
I am a very new Neo. grower, I just got a shipment from New World Orchids yesterday. Besides the posts to this forum, what got me hooked was the article in the July 2015 in the ORCHIDS magazine. The article convinced me that I could actually grow the Neos. All the photos of the Neos this summer were surely a push for me to actually order some. |
Plodde - You can't go wrong with a Seikai from NWO. Kristen has carried on Dr. Lehr's legacy nicely. Down the the little add-ons in the purchase. Below is a link to a photo of a seikai in bloom. third photo
Neofinetia falcata in my Japanese garden, July 2015 Winter - so it is a flower spike or another growth. Either way it means it happy. |
