Just picked up this cattleya from lowes
 

The two closest lowes to me only seem to have phals whenever I go there. They are each about an hour away so I don't go very often (Home Depot is in my town but they only have phals). I recently went to a different lowes and they had the bag babies I see people talking about on here. This is my second Catt. My other one is doing good so I figured I'd try out another one. :-)

Wow, nice find! The Lowes near me, there are 2 that I visit, they don't even have bag babies.

Yeah, I don't get to lowes very often since they are so far away. I was out of town for something and there was a lowes nearby so I said what the heck, I might as well see what they have for plants. There weren't many bag babies to choose from. There were maybe 6 catts and 2 dendrobiums. They all looked pretty thirsty! Lol. This one was a lot more shriveled looking when I got it. The only places near me to get orchids other than phals is a nursery about a half hour away. Their plants are very nice but also expensive. $12.98 for this plant sounded like a deal to me! I wish I had a lowes closer to me...

Good price for a healthy looking catt. Has new growth and it looks like it had bloomed before, nice going.

Yeah there was a piece of a dried up spike coming out of one of the pseudobulbs.
