Paph Pinocchio

I'm happy, this is the first time I've rebloomed a Paph! I got it 2 years ago, and it hadn't bloomed since.

Very pretty!! Your plant has exceptionally nice colors for that hybrid. Congratulations on the blooms.

There is actually quite a lot of discussion about this hybrid in Europe. Many people here buy the same as me under the name of Paph Pinocchio, but some argue that with the white halo on the dorsal and the brighter colors it may actually be a similar, but different Paph (I don't remember the name of it, but i know Rosie has posted about it since she has the same type as mine). But until someone can clearly tell me otherwise, I'm keeping it labeled as Paph Pinocchio.

It looks to be a paph liemianum

There's no way to know for sure. Paph Pinocchio is being made with higher quality parents these days and it can vary in appearance quite a bit. My Pinocchio isn't nearly as colorful as yours and I've been keeping my eye out for one with that kind of color. Congratulations, your's is a beautiful bloom.

After seeing Paph Pinocchio I've been trying to keep an eye out for it, but no such luck (maybe I'm just getting distracted by other plants xD)

Im getting one this weekend. JAY!

As someone said above, I think it looks awful lot like a leimianum, which I have in bloom right now.
I know hybrids can be variable, but it looks so different than most other Pinocchio I've seen.

One of its parents glaucophylum does have white halo on the dorsal, but it does not seem dominant in Pinocchio.

With all this said, I don't think one can say it is not Pinocchio.

I bought mine at a show in spike and a new growth starting.
I have to say it's a good thing I bought one in spike, because one, it has been in bloom constantly since, and two, that new growth is now over one year old and still not mature. Slowest thing ever!!! lol
