What changed? I had 237 notifications for "new post thanks"?
 

Hey guys!

I am just curious if there was a little glitch or something unusual happened, or if someone made a change to the board.

I came here to find 237 notifications about "new likes/new post thanks" and I am wondering what a "new post thank" is?
237 notifications is pretty wild for orchidboard.

I had problems getting in today and received a ton of notifications as well. I guess it's just a glitch.

And we've lost the "Like" button. Definitely a problem somewhere.

I think they've updated the software or something. 'Likes' are now 'Post thanks/Like' and I do believe that you received hundreds of notifications bc the system was informing you of every like you've ever received. Under each post you should see a link with a thumbs up saying "Like this post".

There is a "like this post" option under every post! It just moved.

I am just hoping the mods can give a small explanation of why the change was made.

The forum was down for a long time today, possibly for updates?

3698 like notifications for me!

I notice the 'Like' option has moved, and the 'Like' notifications are split up by date rather than one long list.

I think Marty must have done an update.

Howdy...it was the thank you plugin along with another that was causing severe errors to the site, plus we just scrapped a major vulnerability that was used to exploit my other site and hack the server. Few changes, but necessary ones to keep things going

If the thank you option was enabled for tapatalk, I would use it now ;-)

There is still an issue, however:

If you click on the topic link in the Like notification, it used to take you to the topic, in case you wanted to add something. Now, all I get is an "Invalid" message.
