Progress with a Catasetum 'Black Pearl' . This one from a member here , he kindly resolved some issues with the plant before shipping and added extra plants. He can reveal himself if he wishes :) I feel I got a great deal with the Catasetums he sent.
The plant has just started with new growth of roots and bulbs, looks very healthy. I've removed the two back bulbs as there seem no way to get the new growths growing upright with the back bulbs on. I've re-potted both parts in Cone pots with good quality NZ moss.
Fingers crossed all will do well.

Glad to see it's waking up! The backbulbs you divided should sprout new growth soon too. Hope it brings you many years of enjoyment :)

You don't want those pesky backbulbs...feel free to send them my way. >_> Haha.

Mine agree starting to wake up too! I read not to water them until the roots are a couple inches long though, is that sound advice?
