Longwood Gardens Orchid Sale

Has anyone bought anything from their orchid sale? At the end of the Orchid Extravaganza they sell most of their 5,000 display orchids at a reasonable price. I am going to be getting some and not sure what types you would recommend trying besides Phal and Catt which I have already...I feel like this is my opportunity to experiment without breaking the bank.

I've been wondering about this. I want to go during the sale this year - but don't know anyone that's actually been.
Have you yourself been previously? I'd like to know if the prices ARE actually reasonable?

As far as experimenting - I would make note of the average conditions you are able to provide for your orchids and go from there. There is no use wasting money on an orchid that you won't be able to see thrive in your environment!

This past weekend they had some from the exhibit that had already bloomed and only had stalks and they were selling for $15...many different types. I am planning on going the first day of the sale.

Has anyone gone to this and have feedback? I will have to take off work to go to the first day (tomorrow) and I don't know if it will be worth it. I plan on going to the SEPOS show this weekend.
