New Trichosalpinx Chamaelepanthes

Hi all,
I was wondering if I can get some additional advice on this orchid who is a new acquisition.
I know that it likes shade, wants to be moist never dry and will be very unhappy warmer than 80 degrees.
It came to me on a lovely mount, but I notice there is no moss- should I remount this orchid with some moss? Eventually I want to move this orchid to vine around a tree trunk in a vivarium, but that is a ways from now so any new mount would have to be easy to remove from the roots, or easy to wrap around the tree trunk and look natural- so I don't think cork would be a good idea for example.
I sort of feel like happy orchids should not be tampered with as a general rule, so I am wondering if this orchid is susceptible to rot or fungus and that's why it has no mounting medium?
Also, I am unsure what amount of air flow this orchid would like.

Well. I don't have much experience. But mine seems happy...
Bright light. Mines at the top of my lantern. But I'm sure it would probably like it a little lower.
Mine is not on moss. But it is on a rock that wicks a little moisture. It likes to stay pretty evenly moist.
Cork would be fine if you can water enough.
High humidity.
My temps do go above 80 so don't be super afraid of temps climbing.
My air flow is minimal.

I don't have much experience either as I've had mine for several weeks. Love it and can't wait until it blooms. Mine is mounted on a 9" long mount with moss between the plant and the mount. It has grown like a weed and has a lot of new roots and growth. It hangs, for now, in a east facing kitchen window and I spray soak it every morning. It is fairly dry by night. The temp at that window is maybe 70 during the day and 63ish at night. I bought mine from Andy's and his culture instructions are: daily waterings, intermediate to cool temps, shade. Mine hangs with the back of the mount facing the window so it isn't grtting direct light, just bright. With the growth I'm getting I could easily have cuttings to plant/mount in other areas. This grows fast for me. Such an awesome plant. Good luck with yours.

I would say it all depends, if you can keep good humidity and mist it few times a day, than the mount without moss would work, if you can't do this, than maybe add some moss. These are creeping orchids and will grow fast.

Thanks all, ambiant humidity in my kitchen is about 60% right now, so I think I will play it safe and add some moss.
Sounds like its a fairly 'easy' guy as long, as you can keep it moist, with a wide range of light and temp- yay!

Good luck with this, please let us know how you decide to grow it.
