Cattleya eldorado concolor
I bought this as a rubra clone many years ago. This is its first bloom. Obviously, the plant was not labeled properly. I think that is a concolor variety. Regardless, it is nice, but not what I ordered from the vendor.

Wow, good job growing it as usual! It isn't an easy one for me because it seems to need warm temp. When I had them in 65F night, nothing was happening and they were showing gradual decline. I lost one. Now I put them in 70F night, and started to grow. But they don't have many leaves left, so it's going to take for a while. I'm surprised how a small diff in temp can make a big difference. Once they get acclimated and establish (mines were fresh import from Brazil), they may be able to handle lower temp. A well established C. violaceae (from similar, but slightly different area from what I read) seems to be able to handle lower temp.
What kind of temperature are you using with it? |
