Here are some pictures taken over the last few days of this neat Bulbo. Plant has 13 bulbs and 12 flowers. I'm glad they all are opening at about the same time. The flower without an orange center was intentionally removed for an attempt at a selfing. Also the orange is dark, like the flowers in the background or the picture without the flash. This one smells of fungus/mushrooms but kind of sweet so not very offensive. You have to be within 1' or so to smell the flowers.

Nice

From a distance(or without glasses) it looked like a masdevallia. What a surprise to me that its a bulbo! Must remember to look for this one...very nice indeed!

Wow me too. It does look like a rather large lipped Masdevallia. Love it. Is it an easy grower?

I wish I could have this one also, but I see that it is a cold to warm Bulbophyllum and I need the hot ones being in South Florida

I agree, it is very similar to Masdevallia flowers. I have found it to be an easy grower. I keep it in intermediate conditions with low light; approx 5' from a 250w HPS and 7-8' from a 250w MH. Water twice per week and use dilute fertilizer once or twice per month. This one bloomed in less than 1 year from purchase so it appears to adjust well to new environments. Another grower of this species told me they grow it cool and it produced fewer flowers. It may prefer intermediate - warm temps.

Thank you all for the feedback. For those interested in seedlings, keep an eye on Troy Meyers website in 8-12 months and hopefully some flasks will be germinated.I made 3 selfing attempts and *fingers-crossed* it appears at least one has taken.

Where did you get yours from? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
