Question about my baby Dendroium anosmum

It's like 7 inches tall, I just noticed something in middle just got fatten cane. What is it causing it? Yep, I'm new to it. It had winter rest. Here is the picture. Why is it like that? Thank you very much for reading this...

I'm not familiar with dendruiom, I got that for my husband. He's excited... Looking forward to grow big in future.

Hi DOL, I think it's keiki. Flowering size should be a bit bigger. Mine is 45 cm long (20 inches) and flowered hust once (in the greenhouse of the seller)

I am a windowsill grower and I was able to inherit a large specimen that have been blooming for quite sometime....are you sure you gave your plant winter rest? You have a seedling=you want to continue watering and fertilizer until it matures.

Yes, I did gave it a winter rest as a lady told me when we got it from orchid show. Okay! I will check that out... Thank you, Bud!

What kind of a "rest" did it receive? All of the leaves should turn yellow and drop off leaving a bare cane. Then, if conditions are right, buds will start to appear on the cane. This is a small anosmum, the cane is only 10" in height:
