I got this plant off of eBay about two years ago. It grew very fast and I had to divide it. Now each of the divisions have bloomed (this is the first one on this division).

I grow most of my Phrags and Paphs under T5 lights and fertilize every 1-2 weeks. My Phrags sit in saucers of water and are flushed with fresh water once in a while to remove accumulated salts.

The only issue i have with this plant is that the leaf tips tend to turn brown. I think this might be due to water quality/salt buildup. Any recommendations?

You're lucky, I've struggled to bloom this species, though as long as I don't jinx it too much, I did manage to get it to spike this year.

I don't think I've ever seen this species grown to such perfection that there were no brown/black leaf tips, and certainly not indoors. Keep the humidity up, make sure to keep it wet, and stick with good quality water and it will be minimal.

Good job blooming it.

Glad I took the picture when I did as my cat (who usually stays away from my plants) decided one of the petals was especially delicious. At least it's sequential...

One of the few phrags I've entertained the idea of trying despite my killing touch with paphs and phrags. Not a terribly colorful flower, unfortunately, but its one of the few with a fairly diminutive size and tight growth habit making it more suitable for those of us who are space challenged.

If I do decide to give one a go, at least I'll likely be able to get one for free from a friend of mine.

I really like the grassy look of the leaves.
