Onc. Charles Finch 'Izuma
 

I bought this lant back in November. It was in spike and bloomed with 2 spikes until abut a week ago. I cut off the old spikes and put the plant back under the lights. Today when iwent to check my plants I noticed that 2 of the leaves had turned yellow. Is this a culture shock or now enough water. Picture is in folder Oncidium Photos.

Star shaped light purple flowers with some markings??

If the yellowing is occurring on some of the oldest leaves, then it is usually natural.
If not, then depending on what they look like, it can be a number of things.

Yellowing in regular houseplants can be caused by overwatering. not sure about orchids, but both regular houseplants and orchids will get ugly dry brown tips if underwatered too often.

How are the roots in the pot? It looks like it has a new growth so that is a good sign. I always like to repot when I get new plants (sometimes after bloom) to check the roots. I was wondering the same thing as NY Orchidman about the name.

NYcorchidman is correct with the naming of the plant. Theplant is root bound so it easily comes out of the pot. The roots are fine and very strong looking. I was wondering since the plant was not under lights at all since November untilo a week ago could this be a culture light shock. In that there was no light to the plant other than what came through my kitchen window. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

There will be no shock unless you place the plant in direct sun, which you should not do with any orchids of this kind.

I also read about black spotting.
It is a fungal disease that's all too common to oncidium hybrids.

If there are not many leaves affected, you can simply trim those affected ones and that should usually take care of the issue.

That looks like normal dying off of older bract foliage (the leaves that surround / envelope the pbulb) - these leaves die much sooner than the ones on the top of the pbulb.

What concerns me is the browning marks on that top green leaf.
