Deflasking Erycina pusilla advice
 

I've recently put in a purchase order for a flask of Erycina pusilla from Peruflora. I've heard from an experienced grower that deflasking this particular genus is tricky at best and they invariably rot and die.

Does anyone have any advice especially specifically for Sydney growing conditions? I'm new to deflasking and have had variable results although I've never tried deflasking Erycina before.
