Hi Mario,
I water at a minimum once a day, where they get drenched. I will also water a second time when required on the hot days. I fertilise twice a week at half strength.
My growing area is a shadehouse I designed for vandas. It is a roof only. The shade cloth is 64%-70% but with no walls it remains very bright and airy. My vandas are still very open to the elements and bugs so i need to keep on top of problems as they arise. I have a build thread in the greenhouse section.
As for root growth, I find that root growth is a combination of things, good water, good food, good light, good airflow, good temperature and good humidity.....i'm very fortunate in that temperature and humidity is no problem in the tropics! |
