below is a picture of a Catt. NOID that I purchased about 6 months ago. The label only said "big Pink Catt." I'm sure it is an older Catt. This is 1 of 4 divisions I made of the original plant. It currently has 2 blooms and 5 new shoots about 3 inches long. Anyone have any Ideas? The coloring is pretty close to the picture and the bloom is 7" across.

Awesome!

I can't help with a name, but am thinking with the size, and that lip, that it might be a Rhyncholaelia (formerly Brassavola) digbyana hybrid ... ?

There is no way to be certain, but this is very similar to the hybrid between Rhyncholaelia (formerly Brassavola) digbyana and Cattleya (or Laelia) tenebrosa - Rlc. (or Bl.) Helen. The size of the flower is certainly possible for that hybrid, and the coloring on the bronze side of pink is typical for tenebrosa hybrids. The lip can't come from anything other than digbyana.

I don't know the name of this orchid, but I do know that true pinks are supposed to be rare in orchids. Yours is well grown, & very BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations... BettyE :bowing
