C Little Angel Pics
Hi y'all.
I am hoping someone can provide pics of this flower. C. Little Angel is C. Obrieniana X C. loddigesii, possibly a naturally occuring hybrid but also registered in 1959 by Jones & Scully, received a single award (82 pt AM) from the AOS in 1960. It has 52 registered F1 offspring, and almost 720 progeny, and may be an important part of a hybridizing project I am just getting underway. Also, If anyone knows where I might get a decent plant, I would appreciate the knowedge. Thanks!! Brian Monk |
Hi Brian :) Wish I could help you but I'm unfamiliar with this one. Have no fear...I'm sure the responses will start
pouring in. Glad to have you here. What 'chids do you grow? How long have you been growing these wonderful plants? Where are you located? So many questions... enjoy the board :) |
Susanne,
I've been growing these damn weeds since I was twelve. So over 20 years now. Their addictive, and I hate them, but I cant seem to get away from them...LOL. I used to concentrte on species, but in the last 5 ears or so I have really taken an interest in hybrids. I am (currently...which means for the next 2 decades) working with pink/white multi-floral Paphs, Broughtonia and Encylclia hybrids, white-lipped Cattleyas, and red warmth tolerant Oncidiinae. Good luck to me! Brian Monk, DVM Ft Lauderdale, FL |
Hi Brian,
I see you're much further south than I am, do you grow indoors or outdoors? I have only been growing 'chids for about a year or so, but I'm already fully insane about them ;) Good luck to you and it's nice to have you here. Hope to see you in the chat room sometime :) |
