oncidium NOID
 

Any ideas on what this oncidium could be. Tag only said 'oncidium large' the stalk was almost a meter and a half high. Flowers are orange.

I have no idea, but it sure is pretty.

Chances are, NOID will be NOID. No way to determine the exact name.

What a great color, I want that color for my collection.

I assume the flowers are closer to true yellow than the orange I'm seeing on my monitor. Oncidesa (Oncidium) Sweet Sugar is probably the most commonly seen, but there are many other hybrids of this general type that can't be ruled out from this picture - and all variable so some look much like this but others of the same cross show some differences.

Ooo that is pretty and impressive. I have No-idea about your NoID but appreciate it your sharing its beauty nonetheless. ;)

Oncidium Sweet Sugar. Commonly available hybrid. Sold pretty much everywhere. The flowers are not orange however, they are banana yellow.
