Prostechea cochleata
 

My Prostechea cochleata 'John' was in blooms for months and months...lost it's last bloom a few days ago...and I found this on my second plant today! :dance:

:cheer: With two plants and the length of time you can keep them in flower, you could enjoy flowers from these all year round it seems!

They are great, aren't they?! I love mine...

These are on my top 10 of favorite orchids. I love them, can't say enough about them. Very non fussy orchids, almost everblooming chids (imho) :)

I agree with you 100%- they are awesome plants! Your's is beautiful too... its nice how they are all subtly different :biggrin:

They certainly are interesting and seem to be very rewarding. I have Encyclia 'Green Hornet'. Is it the same plant. I've had mine since July and it looks healthy and had bloomed previously but now seems very reluctant. It's in a fine bark mix and I'm wondering if it likes to be kept moist. I'm presently watering just once per week. Also I grow in natural light and we're into the short dark days of winter so perhaps not enought light? Any hints would be appreciated.
