Phaius Blooming!!
2 Attachment(s)
I am wondering how many of you have Phaius orchids? I found very few threads. I have 3 here in the greenhouse and finally....FINALLY i have one in spike.
I'll update as it grows and blooms! |
wonderful!
p.s phais is spellt phaius |
What kind of Phaius is it?
|
As soon as it blooms I'll try to identify it. Almost all of our orchids here in the greenhouse had the tags removed.
Thanks for the spell check!! hahaha...usually i am good at that. |
I had horrible luck with these! That might be due to the fact that I grew them outdoors instead of in a greenhouse atmosphere, but they are supposed to be hardy terrestrials...

Can't wait to see it bloom. I think these are nice but I do not have one.

They're not tolerant of frost, if that's what you wanted to know. Look up winter temperatures for the southern provinces of China, such as Guangdong, Guangxi, or Yunnan, their seasonal timeframe matches up to our seasonal timeframe because both countries are in the northern hemisphere. The winter lows are somewhere in the low 50's F maybe high 40's F. The rains are seasonal. Rainfall patterns are summer rains, winter dry. Monthly Rainfall Table for Guangdong |
