HELP!!! Some emergencies but overall it's getting better
:hello:hello everybody.
So, currently I have a purple dendrobium, three phalaenopsis (white red dot, yellow), black leaves jewel orchid, and one white phalaenopsis I saved. And especially for him I'm here I have a shop near my house of renting apartments fill the houses with bloom orchids which they Drowned in jars of water without holes (because they thought it pretty that way) , so the plants quickly lose flowers and then are thrown in the trash . That hurt the guy so I decided to rebuild it because not like the others he still had a chance. I nicked stems with disinfectant and cinnamon. And started to water once a week / two weeks by the weather. We are still flowering season and perhaps it will have more flowering stems. Now I saw that the plant is trying to create stems (include photos) that go from the root and not the base of the plant so are they roots or can they be flower spike? So the questions are: 1) Is there a situation that it is flowering spikes? 2) Should I pot the plant in a new platform, although not finished blooming season because there are many rotten stems (no mold or fungus) or wait? 3) One of the phalaenopsis have a green leave with red dot on it should I worry about that? (It's not yellow so it's not a sunburn right?) Please help me save the plant. In addition, if you have any comments about the rest of the plants I'd love more. My best suggestion to you is to go to the Beginner Forum, look at the stickies at the top of the page and read all the posts on "The Phal Abuse Stops Here". It should answer most if not all of your questions. Welcome to the OB. :waving

I would cut the old flower stem of the two phals you have in the one pot. and let them put their energy on growing the new leafs. The media does not seem to be too broken down, but if you wanted to give them fresh media, now would be the time to do it because they are growing new leafs and with that maybe new roots.
The DenPhal looks good. Pretty flowers. The 3rd phal looks like is developing a new flower spike, I would not repot at this time, I would just keep an eye on the new leaf that has the spots. The spots could be fungus from being too wet of it may even be due to changes in light. I would just keep an eye on it as well. Your last plant looks good too and is also spiking so I would just continue to give it the care that you are currently giving it. If you wonder about watering, I would use a bamboo skewer to check when they need to be water. You are doing a good job and now just let them do what they are going to do on their own and enjoys the flowers when they come. |

To remove any doubts I didn't want to repot at this time any other orchid except the saved one because the media is fresh only 6 mouth top. I searched a bit and I found out that the saved orchid sick have Symptoms of Cercospora on two leaves. By this article: Orchid Pests, Orchid Diseases And for the orchid dots I think its fine I found in many nurseries healthy orchid look like that. They said it's not because of the strong sun in our country (it's not a sun burn) because its purple color and not red or black. It's just a region hybrid phalaenopsis that have too a purple micro strings additional to the common white.(attched picture) SO SHULD I REPOT OR LEAVE IT IS ITS ROOT OUR SPIKES DOWN THERE? AND DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THE Cercospora ON TWO LEAVES TREATMENT? |
Never place your orchids around fresh fruit. You have banana's right next to the orchid you took a picture of the orchids on the counter. Try keeping orchids at least 10 feet from any fruits you may have.

Thank you I didn't know this fact about putting orchids away from fruit. But I only watered them they didn't stay there. I put them on a self.

The first picture looked like a lot of water droplets on the leaves. Be very careful about water on the leaves of Phalaenopsis as they are prone to crown rot if water stays in the crown of the plant.
