Dendrobium spectabile yellow leaves
Plant has been doing great all summer. I brought the plant inside and placed on a table by south window. I live in Ohio so the sun is not intense. Yesterday I took out of pot and it was so totally root bound that I now have most of the roots separated and the bark chips are soaking. What else can I do to help my plant? I am just sick but I do have a new growth and the last growth is still green. Stocks are not mushy and no visible signs of disease or bugs. :( I have not fertilized the plant since Oct. in hopes of a bud.

What are your growing conditions and do you have photos?

Thought this photo might help.

What temps has the plant been getting?
From your description of its current condition, it sounds to be in good shape outside of the yellowing foliage. It may be fine. If it got too cold, that could perhaps have caused leaves to die. (I have had that happen to a den-phal) ** I merged the thread with the photo with this one** |
Thank-you so much for doing that and for the information. I did repot it and will hope for the best. It is one of my favorites. I am also noticing a few more yellow leaves on my oncidiums ?????? I just try so hard.

I hope you figure out what happened. Good luck!
