How Much Fertiizer with S/H

If fertilizer directions calls for 1 tsp per gallon fertilizing every 2 wks, would one use 1/4 or 1/2 tsp per gallon to feed every watering for S/H orchids??

Ruthann, 125 ppm N is what you should be targeting in your feeding. Ray has a fert calculator on his website under free info. It will tell you how many tsp/gal of whatever fertilizer you're using = 125 ppm. Use the converter at the bottom of the page. Plug in whatever N number you've got and 125 in ppm to get the results. I'm using 125 ppm N at every watering on all my chids not just the s/h ones and they're loving it. All except my resting dens that is.

I use 3/4 tsp per gallon RO every watering with s/h using Ray's fertilizer, to get the correct level of nitrogen by my PPM meter.
