Newbee from the Netherlands says hello!
 

Hi Everybody!

My name is Patrick, i'm from the Netherlands. I have been growing orchids since i was 11, and although i did my very best at that age, not a lot of them survived it...
:(

Retired for quite a while (school, work, life etc.) But once caught with the orchid-bug your hooked for life! It all started again with a Christmaspresent in the form of a small Cattleya maxima. I think i don't have to explain the rest, do i? My greenhouse is filling up nicely again!

And this week the 'maxima' started to flower for the first time!! I'll try to post a picture of it as soon as i figure out how to!

Oh, and English is not my motherlanguage, so my apoligies upfront for any errors!! ;)

My experience in your wonderful country is that many Dutch people are too modest about their level of English.

And yup, the orchid bug is for life :) Please consider sharing some photos of your collection if you have time.
