Mold on roots?
 

I recently transferred my vanda into a large, tall, cylindrical glass vase. I put lava rocks as the growth medium. I made sure that I disinfected everything before I put it all together. Now, there is a white fuzz growing randomly on several roots.

If this is mold, what can I do to get rid of it?

Mold will not grow on living tissue - those segments of the roots are dead. Remove them.
