My resurrection plant-Selaginella lepidophylla

Over the weekend, I got this resurrection plant. My hubby likes plants that are quite unique and since I am the plant grower between the two of us, he showed it to me and wanted me to try it. I have read about it before and have not gotten around to growing one. Always fun to get to know a new plant:)

It came with some lava rock, and I have added some clay rocks, I have read in other sites it just needs the roots to be wet.

The plant does have a damp, musty smell which I find too much indoors, so I brought it out to the shady side of my garden. A good company for my other succulents. :) Have checked it later, much better, the smell has dissipated. I will keep it outdoors and maybe just allow it to sleep later on during winter and bring it out again in Spring.

These are pretty cool. The kids wanted one many years ago and we grew it for a while. I have no idea what happened to it now.

I want to see how this plan reacts to the colder temps. We still have a far stretch of warm weather, so will just continue to soak roots in water.

Aw..maybe your plant got tossed out when it went to the dessicated form.
