Phrag. Shroderae 'Mike Trybu....'
 

Hi, I bought the above plant at the Amherst, MA OS yesterday and am having trouble reading the tag. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

Hybrid name is spelled Schroderae (= caudatum x Sedenii).

Clonal names are not recorded, unless the plant is awarded. However, you need the full OrchidWiz or AOS software, to search for that detail.

I have located one mention of this Phrag in a newsletter from a South African OS, where they are also mentioning a local member named Mike Byren. This could be a coincidence, or it could be that you purchased a division of a plant that said gentleman gave his own name as clonal name.

To research this further, you need to access one of the more advanced orchid databases.
