Vanda tricolor 'Michael Collin' FCC/AOS
 

After a little over two long years the anticipation and worrying if this plant was labeled correctly is finally over. The first flower popped open this morning. It has a NS of 3 inches so far. It is difficult for me to put into words what I am feeling right now about this first bloomed keiki. I am very delighted to say the least.

Gorgeous flower. You have a happy healthy plant....you are one of few people who brings Vandas outdoors and manage to have clean leaves and large flat flowers. You also have robust roots ....I am glad Vandas glory in your environment.

There is one coming up this coming weekend about 40 miles away. I may just might take it for ribbon judging.

To tell you the truth, it was only outside for the photos. It is normally growing in front of a south facing sliding glass door in my home.

That is one incredible tricolor, which is one of my favorite Vandas. I have to seek out this clone.

Is this a meristem, or a division off the awarded plant?

They are not that easy to come by here either. When I was able to get it I felt like I won the lottery even though it was not cheap.
