Got this little beauty last winter, and it just rewarded me with the first spike.

And, a pox on the taxonomists, who now call this a Vanda.

Very, very pretty. I love the yellow.

Super flower Fairorchids!!! I'm glad you posted it. I have this plant from Kawamoto Orchids and they mounted it. They had pictures but seeing yours really looks good! Can you post a picture of the plant too?

Nice!

I like the form and the color.

Mine came from Kawamoto too, and it was mounted when I got it. I transferred it to a net pot, to which I have added a 2-wire hanger. Will post photo of the plant later.

Thanks Fairorchids. I kept mine on its tree fern slab. I was going to put on Ecoweb as tree fern sheds. But the roots have grown into the slab and I did not want to deal with changing a new plant's environment. Thanks for offering to post a plant picture.

Matt,

I had to break the tree fern slab apart to release the plant, but I do not grow Neos mounted, so it was a must for me. Likewise, I recently received my Neo richardsiana from China, again mounted. It is now in a net pot.

Anyway, here are photos. The first one is Hsinying Starlight plant photo, the second is a group photo with Ascofinetia Twinkle (same level) & Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly (in front) for comparison. Just noticed that Hsinying Starlight has a second spike just showing, and Moonlight Firefly is spiking for the second time this summer too.

Those are beautiful Fairorchids. Thank you for posting these pictures. Now I have reference point in what I can expect to get someday.

I looked again at my mounted Neo hybrid. This plant has a massive root system entwined in and out of the slab. It will take a lot of patience not to damage these roots!
