New Neo Stripes!
Kouki-shima

I suspect they are burns from reflection/refraction from metal shelves (notice the relative uniformity?). The window sill location they were in was fine until I placed a metro-type shelf unit against that sill. The sun must be intense for a short amount of time to burn so discretely (or could I have accidentally created a laser?). I'm gonna hafta get something to cover the shelves. And I got rid of a couple of meters of white fibrous material recently. (pssssst: I made up the italic names!) |
LOL AnonYMouse! You had me thinking you had some truly different Neofinetia! I hope these heat/sun damage won't hurt the plants too much.

Who would have thought? Hope your neo recovers nicely.

Looks like you caught it in time. Hope they recover

I don't know that was, in fact, what happened. I just cannot come up with a more reasonable explanation. I'll be happy to entertain unreasonable explanations, too.
I'm not worried, they are a tough bunch. |
It wasn't the shelves. It was the new privacy film on the window. I couldn't see the high intensity grid until I was looking through a filter.
I couldn't find more of the old film so I bought what I thought was very similar from another manufacturer. They looked the same until I had something between the film and my eyes. I've white-washed the film for now (perhaps not necessary with the season) and will be looking for a new film. |
