Roby, that is a beautiful flower! Thank you for posting a picture of your entire plant. Can you provide information on how you are growing your plant? I'm particularly interested in what kind of light you provide it.

Here is a picture of my Laelia reginae. It has very little green--almost completely red. I have been growing it in very bright light most of the day--getting four hours of direct eastern light and two hours of direct western sunset light. It was dark green like yours when I got.

From what I read, giving it this much light will set up the plant for a winter bloom. What is your experience?

Your flowers are gorgeous, Roby!

I don't think I've seen an alba variety of this species before. Congrats on getting a nice one!

Hello Roby, so it gets three hours of direct southern light? I do not see any red coloration. I wonder if there are differences in Laelia reginae---as your is an "alba"?

Matt, sometimes the lack of red in an alba flower can also carry into the foliage.

Gorgeous reginae, Roby. I have never seen an alba reginae either. VERY nice!!
