Grammatophyllum Scriptum var. Citrinum
It's that time of year! I wanted to share my Grammatophyllum pictures. He's got two nice spikes and 2 more on the way. The bigger of the two that I have (both are Citrinum) is being a little slow out of the gate but he's got 4 spikes that I can see are just getting started.
They are like having baby elephants. (But I love them) Mine aren't fragrant as far as I can tell. I feed them heavily during their growing season, water at least every other day and they both get full sun all day long and love it. I am in trouble if the biggest of the two continues to grow at the rate he's going. That's "part" of him to the left of the "little guy". Thanks for looking! https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3926/...e4f2037d_z.jpgGramm2 by Ephesis, on Flickr https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3868/...5b215a0c_z.jpgGramm1 by Ephesis, on Flickr |
Very impressive, to say the least! Fragrant too? Wow!

Thank you Annak! Nope...not fragrant as far as I can tell. Unless he's smelly at night and I don't know it. I try to avoid the orchid house at night....toads!

Toads? Yeap, no place to linger at nights!
Such flowers do not need the sent to get all the attention they want ;) |
Beautiful!

Gorgeous! Great growing!

What a magnificent display of blooms!

Fabulous!
|
So beautiful giant :)
Is it growing outdoors? |
Yes...he grows outside in full sun. Gets watered every day. He's in very very large chunky medium too...which they seem to prefer.
