Humming Anselia

Before we moved out of the apartment and into this house, we had many of our Orchids on the little thingy that went for a walkway/balcony for us.
So one day as I was taking pictures of other plants that were in bloom at the time when I heard this humming/buzzing real close to my ear and turned around to see what it was.
At first I didn't see it but then I found my little visitor.

And here he is (it was just a young one) on one of my trellises.

Just thought I'd share, hope everyone is having a great day.

Thanks everyone, I have lots of Hummingbird pics as they seem to be rather numerous where I live and so am not lacking for birds to 'shoot.'

I just love those little guys! Several years ago, I had one that would sit on my finger while it fed from one of my feeders.

Wonderful Photos
I love the hummies. Years ago, I had a hibiscus plant in the backyard that was the size of a tree - about 6 feet high. A hummie would buzz the 'tree' every summer afternoon between 3 and 4pm. I would wait patiently to see the little bird drink from the hibiscus flowers and dart away as fast as it would arrive. (Most times, I would hear it before I would see it)
Hopefully I will be attracting hummies again this coming year with the new hibiscus I bought last year  They are welcome visitors and a pleasure to behold.

Exceedingly rare sight here in NYC. Seeing these always reminds me of when I was a kid in South America. They are the most interesting of the birds if you ask me. Thanks for sharing!!!
