Catasetum discolor

this is catasetum discolor, a close relative to catasetum ciliatum. when i saw this plant, the bulb was infected but i still purchased it because it was brought to my attention of late that the discolor and ciliatum are regarded as two different species.
i cut of the infected area and i was waiting for it to grow a new shoot but it decided to grow a spike instead. taking the risk, i allow the spike to develop.
if one were to search the internet, there are still many sites who regarded this two species as synonym.
the fourth is a picture of ciliatum, i include it inside for comparison purpose.

Fantastic! I got a small division tagged as ciliatum (discolor). I can't wait until it blooms to see which one I actually have.
