Dendrobium rigidum

I got this about three months ago and so far it has 2 new growths, is flowering right now, and has a new spike coming. It is a very easy grower for the terrarium. loves being warm and humid with bright light.

Another great little plant! I really like it mounted the way you have it - another one that looks very happy and right at home!

Nice little plant. I may have to look more closely at this as a future purchase.

Nobody raved about this flower's scent - sweet and strong. I don't think mine has been without flowers in several years, though it seems to be really flush with them now (early winter) and in early and mid-summer.
It is also happy on a slab in the yard!

Hi Nancy, it does have a very odd scent to it, I wouldn't say it is a pleasant scent. The scent reminds me of the way milipedes smell (not that I go around sniffing bugs). When gardening outside I often come across them and they do smell quite similar.

Ah a mini beauty with a fragrance. How nice.

Though it has a kind of funky, earthy undertone, the top notes are quite like hyacinth, I think (which some people do find too piercing). For a small plant, the perfume is very pervasive; it can be detected all around the room.

p.s. Even though I find pretty much all 'scented' flowers pleasant, I do not bring the stapeliads into the house when they bloom!
