First time flowerer .... bought it on a sale a couple of years back and wasn't quite sure what I was getting.
A bit of pot luck I guess.
Well, I'm quite thrilled with it, got a great lip, the libellum truly makes the flower and it has great substance and texture.
Produced 4 flowers which is also another plus, but unfortunately the inflorescence is rather bunched / crowded.
But who cares, I'm enjoying it anyway.

How many leads does it usually need to have to reach flowerin size?

Blc. Memoria Anna Balmores is one of my all time favorite cattleyas. Mine is a strong growing plant that blooms with more flowers every year. It also usually has a nice fragrance during the morning. Your's has more yellow in the throat than mine does. I think I like your flower a little better than mine.

I would like it if it were mine too! Very nice. I should add it to my wish list.
