I'm reasonably sure this is one of my species orchids. It hasn't bloomed in a couple of years. The tag is so faded I can only make out the C.

Did you have a maxima in your collection? The lip is pretty distinctive and if this isn't the species it has to have maxima as a parent.

The color is outstanding!

Yeah, looks very much like maxima. Even though I just got mine recently and never saw bloom in person, I have seen too many pics on internet.

There is no doubt of C. maxima.

I believe it is indeed a C maxima in the picture.

It is cattleya maxima and a good one.
