Hi patricia. Its like brainstorming. There are some very big professionals here on this board. Many amatures, but amature is not a dirty word. It comes from the root word in latin for "love" amour, and many amatures know as much as professionals.

I see several things that you are doing wrong with your cimbidium. First. Orchids are not plants that you can just stick outside and ignore. Sorry, but they are not a "lazy man's plant." You need to talk to them, and learn their language. Yes, it sounds silly. We are all here to learn.

They take a bit more time and information than a rose. If you are willing to learn, you will met plenty of teachers here willing to give you their experience based knowledge.
