According to OrchidWiz, C. Fulvescens is an old primary cross of C. dowiana x C. forbesii made in 1901 and awarded once in 1983. So it doesn't sound very common. I have seen one photo where it looked mostly like the dowiana parent but the others I have seen take on the forbesii parent. Maybe you could find something similar with these two species in the mix if you can't find this one. I know when I get my mind set on finding a particular orchid it is hard to not be able to find it tho.
Otherwise I guess you could see what vendors from all over are attending orchid shows in your area and maybe someone has this cross that you could pre-order. |
Silken,.. yes, when i see something that i like very much i just want to have it... i spend all day searching for it and nothing... Maybe i will be lucky someday, or perhaps i should make this hybrid by myself :D but first i have to get the parents :D
Since the isnt any orchid shows where i live hoping for a miracle is the only thing :D Take care G |
