NF 'Setsuzan'
2 Attachment(s)
This is a variegated variety. When I bought it, leaves did not show much variegation, and seller could not recall whether flowers were white or 'greenish'.
I grow it a little more shaded than I would like, as I have too many things hanging above the bench. Under those conditions the variegation is really coming out. It is in bloom now. To my eye, flowers are standard white: |
Very nice variegation.

NF 'Setsuzan'
Lovely plant Fairorchid! Setsuzan 雪山 is one of my favorites because of its lovely patch work variegation. Here is what Seed Engei says about this plant:
"SETSUZAN has white tiger stripe. This varietiy has brown stem and root tips. Greatly variegated!" From Orchids Unlimited: "A fast-growing Tora-fu (tiger stripe) with light yellow/white splotches of variegation. It is said to look like patches of snow on a mountain, hence the name 'Setsuzan' meaning 'Snow Mountain." |
Very nice!

Most of my true NFs are still small plants. I have a few NF hybrids, which are bushing nicely though. Just noticed first bud on a previously unbloomed Twinkle x NF. Main growth is mature, and it has abt 8 good size keikis started.
I also have a White Crane (NF x V sanderiana alba), which bloomed first time in January. It is now in bloom again, and there are also spikes on each of the two keikis. Photo to follow. |
