Some flowering vandas
Was away for 10 days, and some of my vandas decided to flower while i was away.

I think Vandas do better than other orchids in my growing area, and I grow them like airplants, with no media and free hanging roots. So i don't have to worry about rots and decaying media. Only issue is watering these thirsty plants. The vandas will tell you when they are healthy when you see all the new root growth. I usually only buy vandas with evidence of many old flowering spikes, because such plants flowers very frequently. |
In the 2nd photo there is a small orange non-Vanda orchid in the background. What is that one?
