This catt is a very fast grower and the size of the leaves and pseudobulbs are easily 1.5-2ft in size, which makes this one take up alot of space quickly on a bench or table. As a matter of fact now that it has settled into its pot it is throwing up multiple new growths that develop rapidly and at the same time and continues to push out new growth while developed leads are developing buds and flowering. Quite prolific and vigorous if you ask me.
I find that new growths tend to grow outwards & diagonally and even downwards, which makes this catt hard to keep in a pot once mature. After the flowers fade I have to move it to a basket and hang it bc its seems to be going around the pot forming a ball/cluster of growths; definitely want to move to basket before it is too far gone and then it becomes almost impossible to do so without damage.
The flowers are elegant and classic and the lip has a rich yellow that almost completely covers it.
The fragrance is intoxicating; you can smell it from across the greenhouse and it will easily fill a room with its scent.
The spikes are very thick and able to hold upright 4 large flowers easily, i only staked mine because one of the flower lips was growing into another pb and i wanted to stake it so as to distance the pbs a bit.
Enjoy.

Gorgeous. I always drool looking at this one being offered at Hauserman's website .But I hold myself back because I can not afford big plants anymore.

What does it smell like?

Definitely worth the space it takes. Gorgeous!

Beautiful plant and pictures CR7cristiano. Thank you for reminding me how lovely this plant grown well can be. Plumania, I did own this plant--came from Hausermanns--it just got too big for my space and I gave it away to a friend at church. It smells like your typical orchid scent but it fills the room. Thanks for the memories CR7!!

The smell is a mix of a floral perfume and cinnamon and sugar. :)

I definitely intend to grow this one to specimen size! I also plan to cut away a significant size division and mount to a tree and then leave it to become a specimen as well. Very excited even though its a long way off. :)
