Buying orchids on eBay - your experiences.
 

I'm just curious as to who has bought plants on eBay, who you've bought from, and if you've been happy or unhappy with your purchases?

I've come across some complaints on another orchid forum about someone whose screenname was once tangleoftmeadows, and whom has now - apparently - changed screenname to falconer1211 (and whom also seems to run another account by the name of margaretmouse1). Apparently they sold some plants labeled something, which then turned out to be something completely different. Unfortunately, I didn't find this thread before I had already ordered plants from both margaretmouse AND falconer. Then again, there are also people who got what they ordered, so I don't know what to expect, but I'm hoping for the best. :/ Their feedback rates seem okay, so I didn't really think twice about ordering from them, but if it's the same person, it just seems iffy. Why change screen name, and why two accounts?

Falconer also changes location very, very often. Not too long ago, he/she had put Bristol as their location, then, something else, and now, it's London. Iffy indeed, but we'll see how it turns out when the plants arrive.

I've also bought from two other sellers - Riguha from Bulgaria, and Blomning from Sweden, but their feedback rate is great, and I haven't seen any complaints anywhere. Crossing my fingers that all the orchids are what I ordered them as, and don't turn out to be shabby noids when they bloom, lol.

Being in the US, I don't know about good European ebay sellers ..

Hi Kuzuri, I've bought 1 plant from falconer but it's not flowered yet, so.. (arachnanthe). I bought from Riguha, Catasetum2, Eco-sieben, Lepanthes (now popow-orchids) and Im very happy with the plants.

I've checked; I also bought from: gretchenhans, latina-orchids, nenica59nord.
