How to use Sucra shield??

I believe I have a mite problem, and as luck would have it, rather than going out to buy a miticide, I think I can use the sucrashield I have here. Problem is that I can't figure out how to measure it. It comes in a duel 'spout' bottle, and I'm guessing that's to use it in large quantities I only have 20 orchids, and need help converting this into a simple spray bottle, or, a measuring cup. ???

I agree. He's really great at helping everyone. Be careful, though, he has some very nice supplies and orchids that might tempt you if you look at his site!

Here is a link to a pdf showing the instructions/warnings for the use of Sucrashield. I have used it before to get rid of spider mites and it has worked well for me. The bottle itself can be a little tricky to figure out - you need to squeeze the bottle to force the liquid up into the section below the cap (with the cap still on), remove the cap and pour into your water. In regard to how much sucrashield to use per your amount of water, check the label.

I know Ray's site well, and have posted there as well. I actually bought the very first counter top RO system from him a year or so ago!

The mixing ratio is one fluid ounce per gallon.

The bottle is designed for easy use - leaving the other closed, remove the cap on the side that has the extra "bulb" in it (the one to the left in the image below). That bulb is graduated with 1/2 oz and 1 oz lines. Squeeze the bottle to fill the bulb up to the appropriate line, then pour it into your half- or full gallon of water.

What's the shelf life of dissolved solution, if I use RO water?

I don't know that it's ever been established, but I have had material in a spray bottle for over 6 months, and it was still effective.
