Phalaenopsis with White spots on medium
 

I have an orchid that I've had for over a year and has re bloomed 3x and is currently in bloom. When I was watering it today I noticed white spots on the medium. Can anyone tell me from the picture what it's is? Mold? Disease? I've never seen this on any of my orchids before. I don't know if I should change the medium. Thanks for the help and advice.

yep mold and decomposition....time to repot! lots of threads on how to do the deed, good luck!
