Second opinion on NOID dark paph...
1 Attachment(s)
Bought this handsome paph at a local nursery a few weeks back...gorgeou, if you ask me - you can't see it in the pic but it has mottled foliage, low, flat leaves.
Anyway, my best guess is a superbiens var. Curtisii cross... Any more educated guesses out there? Thanks!!! |
An orchid with no tag in a nursery? First instinct is to ask for its name....someone in that nursery will know.... Its hard to guess hybrids of that kind of Paph; but its wise to go back to that nursery or email them for its name.

Well, this nursery did not raise the plant, only ordered it in...I, in my less-than-seasoned orchid experience, know more than the majority of the staff there. They have referred other guests to me on occasion...so, I have strong doubts that they would have a clue...they had a 'sherry baby' hybrid there (I ended up buying) - that had been there for a few weeks - that no one had any idea about - I had to explain that it smelled like chocolate...very nice people but not 'orchid people' per se...more of a landscaping type nursery...
