New shoot on my tongue orchid?!
2 Attachment(s)
Hello orchidites,
I believe i have a new shoot on one of my native Aussie orchids. My orchid, previously known as the Dendrobium linguiforme and now known as Dockrillia linguiforme, has a new growth behind one of the leaves  It might seem quite obvious but can anyone confirm that it is new growth? I can't seem to get my head around the fact that I am treating it to the right conditions. Mind you it does have a couple of flower stalks but i thought that was a given due to seasonal changes. So, am i right?! :D |
Looks like it. They can be a bit slow to get stared but once they get to a certain size will grow quite quickly and branch out a bit. Protect that new shoot from hungry caterpillars and beetles otherwise it may get set back a couple of years
